CFPB Careers Video

CFPB Careers Video

This was a motion graphic based video developed for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to help prospective employees navigate the (often) confusing government hiring process.

I  was involved in the concept, script development, storyboarding, animation, and sound for this video. It was one of the first motion graphic videos to be produced at the CFPB after substantial brand updates had been made representing the more inviting and animated video style that is now used at the CFPB.

The video concept was to use our primarily object based illustration style to try and create fun and memorable metaphors to represent complex hiring process steps. The "min qual" machine is a great example of how we hoped to convey the computer based review that would establish if an applicant was minimally qualified for the position. Using these examples made it easier to create a narrative that viewers could connect with and ideally make it easier to remember the process.
